BIOGRAPHY

Pol Petrino (Italy . 1996) is an Italian artist based in Novara, who creates works using locally sourced natural materials to explore the synergy between humanity and nature. Influenced by Bijoy Jain, he infuses his work with the essence of diverse landscapes, transcending aesthetics to convey a profound reverence for humanity's coexistence with nature. His pieces act as a bridge between modernity and ancestral wisdom, embodying timeless messages that invite contemplation of our place within life's complexities.

Pol’s work is deeply driven by his engagement with diverse cultures. He learns through the people he encounters, discovering their unique concepts of synergy with nature and the cultural techniques that define their bond with the land. Observing how their gestures evolve into timeless ancestral rituals endlessly fascinates him.

In the repetition of the gesture lies the essence of creation. Each repetition adds a new dimension, enriching the overall composition. As energies are expended, the process transforms into art, where every effort contributes to the intricate beauty of the finished work. A single movement has intrinsic value, but through repetition, it transcends into a ritual, the focal point of the artist's exploration.

Pol develops this exploration through paintings, installations, sculptures, and performances, where human energy and nature in all its forms react with one another, creating works where synergy is the protagonist. His art not only tells stories of his experiences but also serves as a meditative journey, inviting viewers to witness and contemplate the intricate dance between man and nature.
